Literary Events in Los Angeles for the week of April 9, 2018

Issue 84: I am so excited for the reading happening Wednesday night at Skylight. I’m an east-side girl (fo life) and couldn’t get to the launch of the new Mark Sarvas novel that happened last month at Diesel, but my patience/aversion to traffic has paid off because he will be joined this time by another of my favorites – Janet Fitch. And that’s just one of seventeen (seventeen!) events and readings happening this week. Take your pick people. It’s a good week.

Literary Events in Los Angeles for the week of April 2, 2018

Issue 83: Welcome to the newly redesigned LitWeekLA. Wait. Lit-WEEK, you ask? Yep. As of today, the name of our weekly broadcast is the LitWeekLA. We also have an updated look and our own url. As much as I loved having this baby under the umbrella of my own website at AprilDavila.com, it was time to give it its own home on the web. I hope you like it.

As for this week, we’ve got a pretty well-rounded line up. There’s a little something most nights, and this weekend has some interesting events. On Friday there’s a PEN celebration at Skylight Books followed by some student readings on Sunday. Also on Sunday, Beyond Baroque is hosting a tribute to Charles Bukowski. All us LA lit lovers gotta respect the Bukowski.
